Geological Data Management
George 7 can be directly coupled to ODBC compliant modelling systems and is built on the reliable and cost effective SQL Server database platform.
The system incorporates tools to aid in the preparation of DME electronic submission data, significant intercept reporting, and interpreted logs. George is a multi-user system operating over a LAN. It is also designed to permit operation at more than one site with facilities for consolidation of data at a central site for corporate reporting of geological data.
George 7 will operate on Windows 2000 or XP. Substantial parameterisation of the system permits users to amend the tables, coding and categories used in entry and reporting. |

- Module QAQC |
Introduction
George 7 QAQC system is a comprehensive system for extraction, presentation and analysis of assay data. Linked to a George 7 database, it uses Microsoft Excel to display and graph selected data for a period defined by the user.
QAQC Reporting is done by defining the structure of a Microsoft Excel work book that will hold the extracted data and charts. Each work sheet is described including the Work Sheet Name and relative position within the work book, the type of chart being produced and the data that will be extracted and plotted. All work books produced include a cover page with a the report title, report description, report period and creation date and time as well as a list of all the charts contained within the work book, hyperlinked to the appropriate work sheet. Each chart work sheet also contains a hyperlink to the cover sheet to make navigation easier.
The data description includes combinations Hole Type, Project, Prospect, Sampling Type, Assay Method and Laboratory as required, and as many work sheets can be created as needed. The current chart types are:
• Standard
• Analysis Type
• Analysis Type RPD
• Sample Type
• Sample Type RPD
• Method
• Laboratory
In order to assist the process of report definition, tools are provided to allow the users to interrogate the data base for the period. A report builder is also supplied that takes inputs from the user and builds a report template based on the data within the database. |

Chart Types / Standard
This is a chart of standards assayed over time against their expected value and standard deviation. A charts are generated by standard, element assayed, assay laboratory assay method. Similarly these can be generated for a combination of Hole Type, Project, Prospect and Tenement. |
Chart Types / Analysis Type, Sample Type, Method and Laboratory
These are Scatter Plots generated to compare duplicated assay values contained within the data base. These can be duplicate assays of the same sample, duplicated samples of the same down-hole interval, samples sent to different assay laboratories or samples assayed using different assay methods. There is also an option to compare two different elements using Analyte chart type.
All scatter plots can be generated for any combination of Hole Type, Project, Prospect and Tenement. Analysis Type, Method and Laboratory plots can be generated by Sample Type. |
Chart Types / Analysis Type RPD and Sample Type RPD
These are Relative Paired Difference Plots that show the relative differences between the assay values. Here the X-Axis is the percent of the total data set and the Y-Axis is the percent difference between the samples.
The selection of data for these plots is the same as the scatter plots of the same type. |
Data Tools
A series of tools are provided to interrogate the assay data contained within the data base to aid the report creation process. This includes a series of assay reports to view a list of the data for the selected period.
There is also a series of on-screen interrogation tools which have Pivot Table views of the data for versions of Microsoft Access later than Access 2000. Along with these is a Report Builder that will build a QAQC Report template for a selected set of criteria. This works by interrogating the data in the data base and creating a series of work sheet definitions for a QAQC report based on the assay data for that period. |

- Module Contracts Manager |
Introduction
The Contract Management Module is designed to complement the corporate accounting systems for management of costing data. The system records details of contracts for goods and services entered into it. The rates applicable to those services are detailed by item in a contract and contract rates. Each contract with each company is entered independently.
The System Allows You To:
• Review & Report on Contract Performance by Shift, Location, Representative and Drill Rig easily.
• Enter Contract Rates to ensure that plods entered into the system are legitimate for the contract and priced correctly.
• Reconciliation of invoices against Plod Data is a simple process.
• Graphical Reporting of Contract Key Performance Indicators at the press of a button.
• A Contract Evaluation Tool allows you to see the impact of changes of pricing quickly and easily.
• End of month Accruals are now a simple matter of pressing a button.
• There are in excess of 30,000 different report formats available through an adhoc reporting function along side the many standard report formats available.
• An additional interface is provided to allow the representatives from a supplier company to enter shift data directly and print plods from the system for authorisation. Security built into the system using SQL Server and Windows Authentication isolates this interface from the main database allowing access to data only pertinent to that supplier.
